I ski behind a ski nautique, early morning, flat water, daily. I purchased the Union after borrowing a Radar Theory and liking it. The Union is the same width, I thought after everything I read and the videos, designed for a similar skier. The bottom design is different having the 4/10th outer edge flat spot from tip to tail vs my current ski and the Theory are full concave from boot to tail, wider flat spot from boot to front. I found the ski Very difficult to get to initiate a turn, when you have passed the second wake and transition the edge, the ski does not want to turn. I skied on this ski at least 10 days trying everything from moving the binding back, increasing weight on front foot, changing boots..... at that point I went back to my old ski for a few weeks to get my form back, then tested this ski along with the borrowed Theory and my old ski the same morning. I used my old binding in order to isolate to just the ski. Also, the binding placement on this ski is further forward than any ski within our ski group, it is at least 11/2 inches further forward than the two Radar Theory skis. The Radar web sites listed the union and Theory at 31 inches, not possible giving the mounting holes to set a boot on a Theory that far forward. I have given up and And putting the Union up for sale,, very disappointed. I am not rating the binding, I never got this ski to perform where I could fairly evaluate.
