Check Out: 2019 Radar Vector Boa Waterski Bindings

October 16, 2018

With the success of the Radar Vector BOA bindings, we are excited to announce the release of the updated and improved 2019 Radar Vector BOA Binding line. Taking the success of the Vector water ski binding, and adding the BOA’s patented tightening system adds a new level of fit and comfort to water ski bindings. The BOA tightening system has long been incorporated into snow skiing, snowboarding, and even cycling. The addition of the BOA system has created one of the most secure and comfortable bindings for 2019.

What’s New for 2019?

For 2019, Radar has added a rear XL Hybrid Rear Toe (HRT) to the BOA line-up. Previously unavailable, this is a new size in the HRT BOA that should make the entire BOA line accessible to everyone. If you’re looking for the BOA system, you can get it in double boots, front boot and hybrid rear toe or front boot and rear toe plate.

Carbitex CX6 Strips

From the popularity of the Vapor Bindings, Radar has added Carbitex to the Vector BOA line-up. Carbitex is a carbon fiber weave that creates a sturdy and secure feel, while keeping the binding lightweight for increased performance. Not only do you get a stiffer light binding, Carbitex breaks down much slower than traditional textiles, so you’re boots will stay stiffer even after extended use.

How Do I Use the BOA System?

In terms of simplicity, the BOA System is arguably one of the easiest and most lightweight systems for securing your bindings. Once your foot is placed inside the binding, simply twist the Boa dial clockwise to your preferred tightness. To release, pull the Boa dial out away from your binding. This will disengage the tightening system and loosen your straps, to readjust or re-tighten simply press down on the Boa dial until it pops back into place. Then turn clockwise to tighten and re-engage the Boa Fit System.

Should I Upgrade to the Vector Boa?

If you’re looking for increased performance and a secure fit with your water ski, then the Vector BOA is the binding for you. It’s rigid yet lightweight build is perfect for those trying to get most out of their binding system. The Carbitex strips along with the Boa Fit System are the perfect pairing for when you’re ripping past buoys or casually hitting the water for an early morning ski session.

Will the Vector BOA binding fit my waterski?

The Vector BOA binding is built on Radar’s popular Feather Frame system. If you have a 2011 or newer Radar water ski, you’re all set! If you have another manufactuer’s water ski or an older Radar water ski, you may need to look at the universal fit Aluminum Frame line-up.
